These terms are a contract between you and CubTime. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you use the CubTime apps and website. We’ve tried to write them in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@cubtime.com and we’ll help.
By creating an account or using CubTime, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The Short Version
- CubTime is a parental-control service for adults. You must be 18+ and legally responsible for the children you manage.
- Keep your login secure, give accurate information, and only manage devices and family members you’re entitled to.
- CubTime is a paid subscription (£1.99 / $2.49 per month) after a free trial. It renews automatically until you cancel; you can cancel anytime.
- Don’t misuse the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it unlawfully. We can suspend accounts that break these rules.
- You can delete your account and all data at any time. We’re based in the UK; these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Who we are
CubTime is operated under the trading name LevelUp B3 (“CubTime”, “we”, “us”, “our”). A formal company registration is in progress; this page will be updated with the registered entity name and address once that is complete. You can reach us at hello@cubtime.com.
What CubTime is
CubTime is a family-management platform that helps parents and guardians set and enforce screen-time limits and schedules on their children’s devices. It consists of:
- A parent account and dashboard at app.cubtime.com, where you set up your family, devices, limits, and schedules.
- Agent software that you install on a managed Windows PC or Android device, which reports activity and enforces the limits you set.
The service is intended for use by adults only — parents and guardians acting on behalf of children for whom they are legally responsible.
Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You must be a parent, guardian, or otherwise legally responsible for any child you add as a family member or any device you place under management.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password and any multi-factor authentication secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
When you use CubTime, you agree not to:
- Use the service to monitor any person or device you are not legally entitled to monitor.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the apps, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the service (including automated scraping or denial-of-service activity).
- Use the service to break any applicable law, or to infringe anyone’s rights.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with notice where reasonably possible.
Children and family members
CubTime collects data about children on a parent’s instruction. By adding a child as a family member, you confirm that you have the authority to consent to that monitoring on their behalf. How that data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You are responsible for using the information CubTime provides responsibly and lawfully within your family.
Subscriptions and payments
- Free trial. New accounts start with a free trial. You can use the core features during the trial with no charge.
- Paid plan. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription — currently £1.99 / $2.49 per month, covering unlimited devices on your family. Pricing may change; we’ll give you notice of any change before it affects you.
- Billing. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- Refunds. Except where required by law (including UK consumer rights), payments are non-refundable. If something goes wrong, email hello@cubtime.com and we’ll do our best to make it right.
Software licence and updates
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the CubTime apps for the purpose of managing your own family, for as long as you comply with these terms. The software stays our property; this licence doesn’t transfer any ownership to you.
We may release updates to the apps — including the agent updates delivered from updates.cubtime.com — to fix bugs, improve security, or add features. Some updates may be required for the service to keep working.
Intellectual property
CubTime, the CubTime name and logo, the apps, the website, and their content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use our branding without permission. Data you enter about your own family remains yours; you grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service for you.
Third-party services
CubTime relies on a small set of trusted providers to operate — for example Stripe (payments), Contabo (hosting), Fastmail (email), and Google (Android distribution and push notifications). Your use of CubTime may also be subject to those providers’ terms where relevant. The full list and what each one does is in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and “as is”
We work hard to keep CubTime reliable, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may occasionally need to take the service down for maintenance. CubTime is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law. CubTime is a tool to help you set boundaries — it is not a substitute for parental supervision, and we don’t guarantee that it will block or capture every activity on every device.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Suspension and termination
- By you. You can stop using CubTime and delete your account at any time from the app — see our account deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your data, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. Where reasonable, we’ll give you notice and a chance to put things right first.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the service and these terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and notify account holders by email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect. Continued use of CubTime after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any protection you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
